EZRA's switch just came on in the past 2 week and in full speed ahead!

Oh my, I do not know if this is normal in terms of child development terms but in the past two weeks, his skills and awareness just took a turn for good and it felt like everything came together in days! I had been in constant discussion with MOH and we both marvel at what he has been able to do… and it all just came from the day he started imitating our words when prompted. Now he is pretty much running about happily and looking out to see if we are around… because is we aren't he will panic and start to have separation anxiety. He is vey attached to mommy and she will always be his first preference as I take a back seat (which I am totally fine with).

Amazing how we just started the GFCF diet and in matter of two days it had effect, perhaps it was just timing as I do not have the facts to say it was from the diet change but personally, I think it is a change that probably resulted from the whole overall work we put it ie. ABA therapy, 3 days home based daycare, weekend swim and activities outside of house and the hours of fun therapy work through play and interaction that we did at night and morning! I cannot say it was an easy road, we just had to put in hard work of getting on our knees to get onto his 'stage' to get the desired eye contact and attention, constant calls for his name, sounds to get his attention, nursery rhymes, turn taking, pointing cues, numbers/letters play, puzzles, controlling his stimming (tip toeing, laying on floor with toys with wheels, head shaking).

The past two weeks has been great especially with MOH taking 6 weeks off work to help with this important time in his developmental life. I am still holding my reservations but I do see progress by leaps and bounds and everyday I wake up with enthusiasm to see if there are any small surprises hidden for us.

He started saying itchy when he had a mozzy bite after me and grandma saying it a few times when I was feeding him. He also started somersault rolling over his head and onto his back just like any other toddler would experiment with play. Bubbles play are more active now. Him staring into the direction when I say 'look', 'wow' or ask him "what is it?". In ABA, his tacting is amazing to the count of 42 in just a two hour session according to Ebonee. She said he should be ready for the next step.
