An hour before high tide fishing

Didn't seem to get much with the incoming tide, lost two jigs but eventually caught one when I went back to my original spot I started squid fishing.

It was a 3.0 blue jig with yellow stripe.
Squid was probably 200-250g.

It's true what some people say...

No matter what others think, high tide low tide, clear skies, dark skies, windy days, choppy waves, full moon, overcast... You just have to go out and try you luck.

After two days of not landing any squids. Tonight , I braved the wind and choppy waters...and guess what? My second cast out landed my PB! A whopping 438g! Not big to some but it's my biggest so far. In the picture is a 3.5 jig btw, you can imagine the size of this bad boy!

Lost two cheaper jigs to the rocks after that though. Oh well, a learning curve since the float don't feel good to me.

Squid fishing report

Caught my 6th and 7th squid this evening. More to come hopefully.

Had a couple that managed to get away upon reaching the rocks. One felt really big. Alas, will live to fish it out another day.

Had an exciting moment share a squid came close to the landing but reversed when I had reeled my jig in. I enjoy these moments where I try to cast it towards the direction I am guessing it went. And true enough, I hooked it after the first recast. What thrill it was. Maybe I'm just feeling that beginners luck all happening.

Success... third time round... I'm now an experience fisherman!

Had fished squid for the second time since researching into it… and guess what, the third time I managed to catch four decent sized arrow squid from the rocks!

I had to write down this milestone for myself in fear of forgetting it. And below are the weight after being left overnight in the fridge… minus the sea water when other weigh it I guess. LOL
